Flushing Town Hall

Constructed from 1862 to 1864 for municipal and social functions, Flushing Town Hall is today a multidisciplinary arts and cultural center. Take a tour inside this city landmark and architectural treasure. Learn the building’s history, including its original government use, and find how it has changed over the years in terms of both physical features and its role in the community. This tour is one hour long. For grades 6 and up!

  Adrienne Onofri is a licensed NYC sightseeing guide and the author of the book Walking Queens: 30 Tours for Discovering the Diverse Communities, Historic Places, and Natural Treasures of New York City’s Largest Borough, as well as Walking Brooklyn: 30 Tours Exploring Historical Legacies, Neighborhood Culture, Side Streets, and Waterways. A native New Yorker and longtime Queens resident, Adrienne is also a freelance editor and travel and arts journalist. She received a B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University, and a master’s in education at Pace University.
